Beh Choon PohChoon Poh has been a management consultant for more than 15 years. Prior to management consulting, she was involved in sales and marketing/business development in the IT industry. She has also worked as a part-time unit trust consultant and insurance agent and has a working knowledge of both industries.

Her current passion lies in three clear areas - teambuilding, leadership and organizational change. In these areas, her work focuses on managing systemic change and the creation of cohesive, performance-based teams at all levels of the organization. Her main intervention techniques to sharpen leadership skills and enhance team performance include action learning, focus groups and performance consulting.

Choon Poh's professional experience in the field includes being engaged by Competitive Dynamics International (CDI) to jointly work on a major organizational change project with Nestlé Manufacturing on creating a Mission Directed Work Team (MDWT). This is a ‘3-in-1' team-based, process-oriented and cultural change project designed to create a problem solving culture throughout the entire organization. This project works on the basis that 80 percent of the organization is made up of its frontline operators/supervisors. As such if focus is given to the 80 percent to make them world-class, the entire organization will be world-class.

In this programme, frontline operators were engaged to work in teams not only to solve the line problems, but are also challenged to continuously look for ways to improve their processes to achieve world-class standards. Choon Poh was engaged by CDI to conduct a monthly coaching review, coach and guide the teams. To further complement the MDWT project, Choon Poh was also engaged directly by Nestlé to conduct their Teambuilding and Goal Alignment programmes. She has also worked with numerous multinational and public-listed companies in the past while with Asia Team Consultants (M) Sdn Bhd in areas connected to process management and improvement as well as performance enhancement. Her vast hands-on experience in management consulting is a boon to any organization desiring high performance teams in the pursuit of its corporate objectives and profitability.
